KENYA ENDO
Kenya Endo is a landscape architect and urban designer at Ramboll Studio Dreiseitl, based in Singapore, since 2013. Prior to joining RSD, he obtained Mater in Environmental Studies from University of Tokyo, Japan, and Master in Landscape Architecture from Harvard University, USA.
His consistent interests in designs interrelated with landscape infrastructure and urban hydrology has been featured in a number of international awards, including OnePrize Stormproof 2013, Holcim Award for Sustainable Development 2014. In addition, Kenya has co-taught master’s program landscape architectural design studio at National University of Singapore in 2016, with the theme of “intensification: Multiplicity of Landscape Layers”.
At RSD, Kenya has worked on a number of inter-disciplinary projects in south-east Asia, ranging from a few hectare public parks in Singapore, to a few hundred hectare urban development projects in Malaysia. He leads design process with the focus on creating livable spaces that integrates aesthetic, infrastructural, ecological and social values. He has been invited as guest lecturer at several universities in Tokyo and Jakarta, to share and discuss his experiences and challenges to envision sustainable and resilient future.
