Achieving resiliency in the Polo Riverbank include manifolds challenges. Where local and vernacular are failing to meet the crisis completely, the invasion of absolutely new ideas will fall short to be adapted to the locality. This dilemma lead us to the solution of “Growing Hybrid” which is considered in three consecutive steps
Building infrastructural framework :
the first target is to strengthen the existing infrastructure againts the calamities. As a flood protective measurement, alterations are planned in different layers of bank, vegetation, fish pond and housing
Reorient urbanism to the river :
The next target is to rejuvenate the Polo River and incorporate it with the growing urbanism. Transport and communication method are proposed centerting the river
Community connection :
To achieve connectivity among the initially distant communities on either side of the river
