ABSTRACT

How to see the Typhoon as a challenge, not as an obstacle?

1.Physical Aspect

Design response based on three phase of water approach to the land : Contact, Direct and Protect

Contact : The water surge is broken with terraced dyke, channeled /redirected into the river, underground cana and permeable land

Direct : Node by community center protection, housed up to 500

Protect : self sustaining building

2.Economical Aspect

From Sea to Society  (independent/diligent/defend)

3.Social Aspect : Living with typhoon

Houses organized in cluster, each has a community center that serve as shelter during typhoon, accomodate up to 150. Shelters  are connected to the large community center
