‘ADAPTIVE URBANIZATION, REGENERATIVE LANDSCAPES‘

The DRIA 2020/21 Symposium aims to exchange ideas and collect thoughts on urbanization’s critical issues in context to Naga City and its related surrounding areas with the following main questions addressed:

  • How can Naga City deal with climate change and its consequences?
  • Can the city and its immediate surroundings have regenerative and restorative effects on urban and natural systems?
  • How important is the existing social framework of Naga City to ensure efforts to create a livable and sustainable built environment?

The symposium focuses on urban planning and architecture connected with transformative reactions to the consequences of climate change and the prevailing natural hazards such as typhoons, extreme weather, flooding, landslide, liquefaction, and associated measures to reduce CO2 emissions.
