The DRIA 2020/21 symposium aims to exchange ideas and thoughts on the critical issues of urbanization in the context of rural nature with the following main questions:
> How can rural areas deal with climate change and its consequences?
> Can related cities and their immediate surroundings have regenerative and restorative effects on urban and natural systems?
> How important is the existing social framework of a city to ensure the creation of a livable and sustainable built environment?
The symposium will focus on urban planning and architecture in the context of transformative responses to the consequences of climate change and prevailing natural hazards, and explore associated measures to reduce negative impacts.
