ABSTRACT

Achieving  resiliency in the Polo Riverbank include manifolds challenges. Where local  and vernacular are failing to meet the crisis completely, the invasion of  absolutely new ideas will fall short to be adapted to the locality. This  dilemma lead us to the solution of “Growing Hybrid” which is considered in  three consecutive steps

Building  infrastructural framework :

the first  target is to strengthen the existing infrastructure againts the calamities.  As a flood protective measurement, alterations are planned in different  layers of bank, vegetation, fish pond and housing

Reorient urbanism  to the river :

The next  target is to rejuvenate the Polo River and   incorporate it with the growing urbanism. Transport and communication  method are proposed centerting the river

Community  connection :

To  achieve connectivity among the initially distant communities on either side  of the river
