DRIA INTERNATIONAL DESIGN COMPETITION 2020

(ONLY OPEN TO PARTNER UNIVERSITIES)

Adaptive Urbanization, Regenerative Landscape

Naga City Coping with Social and Climate Change

The annual DRIA international design competition encourages foresighted urban and architectural design proposals, as well as promotes innovation in building technologies to ensure a specific community’s resiliency particularly prior to and during a disastrous event. A different community in Asia is picked every year as the competition’s test site through careful joint research efforts of this year’s organizer School of Architecture and Design (SoA+D), King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) in Thailand, the initiator School of Design and Environment, National University of Singapore, and its network partners schools.

Invited university‐level schools of Urban Design, Architecture, and Building Science are requested to select and convey up to two student design proposals to the ‘Designing Resilience in Asia 2020/21 – International Design Competition’ held online with further details to be announced in January 2021. The projects can correspond to undergraduate or graduate levels of study. A single student or multiple students can author the project(s). A maximum of twenty (20) design proposals will be reviewed and evaluated by an international jury.
